Sketch War Redux
Back in the fall, I took part in a Sketch War with Conal Pierse. The concept was that each artist takes turns creating a sketch, borrowing a thematic element from the previous entry. You can see the first entry and find subsequent ones from here.

This time around, we’re free to draw whatever we want in any round, but the opponent specifies a certain stipulation or restriction: you must use only a particular colour, you can only use these media, you must emulate this artistic movement, etc.
This time, I get the first go, with the stipulation being that I must use two different media. For this piece, I did the inks with a brush pen, then shaded with grey-tone markers. I’ve never used the latter in any sort of involved piece, so for a first try, I’m pretty pleased with how it turned out:
Once again, I’ll be posting all the entries as they’re created. Feedback is certainly welcome!
