Thing-a-Week 1

Starting a project like this in the middle of a vacation isn’t the easiest thing to do. With a busy schedule that doesn’t afford much art-making time, as well as a noticeable lack of scanner, I can’t debut Thing-a-Week 2011 with the bang that I had hoped. But if I wanted to base this project on making excuses instead of producing art, it’d be doomed from the start. So instead, I’ll give you the first of 52 weeks’ worth of art updates in this gargantuan skill-building project. Here’s a couple of sketches that I’ve managed to churn out in my scant spare moments this week:
