YouTube’s Transcribe Audio feature shares cryptic riddles through children’s PSAs
You may have noticed that in the last little while, YouTube Closed Captioning has offered an on-the-fly transcript of any video’s speech. Because these things never work well, especially with YouTube-quality audio, I thought it’d be worth a chuckle. Turns out I’d get much, much more.
I’ve taken it for a test drive on the old Canadian children’s PSA, “Don’t you put it in your mouth” that anyone born in this country in the ’80s should recognize right away. The real lyrics are superimposed at the top of the frames, while YouTube’s interpretation is along the bottom.
