Thing-a-Week 37: And now for something completely different

I’ve been in a bit of a drawing funk for the past week. It must be the off-the-wall weather we’ve been having in Edmonton lately, combined with the fast-approaching Halloween season. As a result, I’ve been keeping up on daily art-making, but on a minimal effort.

On the bright side, I made up for it this week with a poster design and something completely different. This one’s for my annual Halloween bash:

With all the campy old sci-fi movies I’ve been watching to get into the spirit of the party’s theme, I also cranked out a few ray-gun doodles:

But the thing that ate up most of my creative attention last week was something completely different. Constructed for my D&D campaign, this monstrosity is known as Erythnul’s Skeletal Scaffold:
