Thing-a-Week 41: Halloween Machinations — Installment 1

For most, the (Canadian) Thanksgiving weekend means getting together with family and gorging on turkey and pumpkin pie. For me, it also means that I’ve got less than three weeks to finish all of my Halloween projects for the year.
Despite what the doodles posted last week might suggest, I’ve been spending less time drawing and more time prop building these past few weeks. While I prefer to keep most of my machinations under wraps until my annual party, giving guests who show up the first look, I thought I’d share one of them for this week’s Thing.
After getting my hands on a surplus 55-gallon steel drum, I’ve given it a makeover. There’s even more surprises within, but I’m keeping those a secret until the big day itself…
