Monster Resurrection: Sword-Leg

I started a new art project today. I dug up my very first sketchbook, from when I was 6 years old. It’s full of awesome monsters. 20 years later, I’m going to go through page by page, and reinterpret each monster in a more contemporary style. Thanks to my mom for dictating the orignal captions.

Of course, I should offer credit where it’s due — this project is heavily inspired by The Monster Engine, a brilliant art project where the artist reinterprets’ other children’s drawings. The key difference, of course, is that I’ve got the luxury of using my own old art. Score!
